Rider Requirements

To get the most out of a Veloce Trackday, there are a few things to keep in mind. The first thing to remember is to bring the right attitude. This is your vacation, so bring that recreating state of mind. Be open to learning something; make some new friends. If you approach the day as you would a day at an amusement park, you'll be off to a good start.

You don't need to be an expert rider to come to a Veloce Trackday, although it won't take attending very many before you leave as one. As long as you're comfortable riding in groups, can handle any traffic and road conditions that you find on the street, and have wanted to exceed the speed limit on more than one occasion you'll be fine.

We will inspect your gear, to confirm that you'll be adequately protected should things go awry. To that end we require the following items in good condition:

  1. Helmet. A full-face helmet with DOT, Snell, ECE or BSI certification.
  2. Gloves. You will need leather motorcycle specific gloves.
  3. Back protector (if not integral to suit/jacket)
  4. Boots, motorcycle specific or heavy duty leather.
  5. Suit, or pants and jacket that zip together (75%+). Kevlar and other leather-substitutes like Aerostich or Dainese make will also work, but no denim.
A note on alcohol (or other mood altering substances). A critical difference between your caribbean vacation and a Veloce Trackday is that is doesn't take a high level of decision making, concentration, and skill to pilot a lawn chair. Controlling a motorcycle at a high rate of speed DOES require excellent judgement and your full attention and dexterity, so no alcohol consumption will be allowed during our events. Save it for after, and bring a glass for us!
