Moto Requirements

Your motorcycle will receive a full safety inspection. We just want to confirm what you already know: that your motorcycle is ready to rip around a track with other speedy participants. To ensure that it is, we will check for the following:

  1. Tires in good condition. Tires are the single most important component of a trackday motorcycle. We will confirm their overall condition, wear, air pressure, and suitability.

  2. Oil leaks. Please make sure that there isn't a gusher somewhere. Nuff said.

  3. Controls. Make sure your brake levers, throttle, and clutch lever don't bind or stick as you use them, even at full steering lock.

  4. Chain. Make sure it's not too tight. This is a frequent thing we see, and only needs a moment to lube and adjust.

  5. Headlight and tail light. We don't require you to tape your lenses unless they are glass, but many people do, and that's ok too. Nor do we require you to remove your bulbs. Hey, you ride around the canyons with the lights on, and no one freaks out then, right?

  6. Once around to make sure nothing is about to fall off. We expect you will have already done this, but humor us. We've found things before...

  7. Fuel. Is your tank full? You'll use a lot of fuel, we recommend bringing a 5 gallon jug so you can purchase fuel at the track, or bring it with you. We will pick you up if you run out, but it takes time, and creates a possible safety hazard, so we ask that you top off regularly until you have a good handle on your fuel usage.
