Our Founder

Nicknamed Dr. Know for of his depth and breadth knowledge of, well, everything, John- Mark Arechiga set his sights in 2007 to create Veloce Trackdays. He wanted to offer a fun, no nonsense trackday with great instruction and all around help available. Our philosophy was his vision. Tragically, he lost his life at Buttonwillow May 10, 2008, before he could see his vision fulfilled. We carry on in his honor. Please read more about him here.

Todd Eagan
Certified Moto Freak, committed Guzzi Wacko. Educated in Architecture, but bred to ride. Eat your heart out Michael Czysz. A third generation motorcyclist, Todd was carted home upon being born in a H.D. sidecar in Baltimore, MD - talk about "in your blood" huh? From there, he was put on two wheels at the age of four, and a few short years later, was sliding sideways around the dirt-tracks of the East Coast for the next decade. The steel shoe has morphed to his foot.

Several years, scars and bent bikes later, pavement entered the scene. He nearly lost his license to the many "speeding awards" within the first year. Shortly after, road racing began. He still suffers this chronic illness, and has has turned to Veloce to help with his sickness. He looks forward to consoling with you too. Todd's resume includes: Lifetime off-road rider, over 1.5 million street miles to date, 20 years racing (11 years Pro), Moto Tester & Journalist for Cycle World and others, and former AMA Supermoto Series Manager. He is the owner of GuzziTech.com & SoCal-Guzzi.com.

Tony D'Augusta
Currently known as “Mongo” amongst the turn one family at Willow Springs International Raceway (this may stem from his years of wrestling and a certain margarita induced episode during his traditional holiday dinner at the track some years ago), Tony loves motorcycles, racing and adventure riding. Teaching, sharing his knowledge and experience have always come naturally to Tony and he considers this a bonus to being a track instructor. He enjoys watching people progress and become comfortable during the course of a day at the track.

After being an architectural expert for 13 years, Tony now enjoys a more flexible schedule that allows him to stock trade and share his experience and knowledge with riders looking to explore their limits and skills on the track. When not busy herding his two children, dual-sport road trips to Baja are a favorite past time. He likes anchovies on his pizza and movies with witty, quick dialogue.

Mr. D'Agusta has raced various bikes at Willow Springs over the better part of the last 10 years, including two 24-Hour events.

Don Erickson
Don is a Socal native and daydreams about getting home and riding while running his custom cabinet business in Huntington Beach. That's nothing new, as he's been daydreaming about getting home and riding for the last 28 years. Don roadraces in WSMC and WERA, dabbles in supermoto, and playrides wherever they let you ride a motorcycle. When that rare moment happens where he's not working or riding, he's probably camping, fishing, diving or doing something else that requires sunscreen.
